BISA, Lakhanwada, Jabalpur

BISA Photo BISA-Manegaon farm, previously owned jointly by the Beej Nigam, Jabalpur and the government of Madhya Pradesh, spans the village clusters of Lakhanwada and Manegaon, separated by a drain. It is situated in Panagar tehsil on National Highway No. 6, two kilometers (km) from Dudi Piparia and about 16 km away from Jawaharlal Nehru Krishi Vishwa Vidyalaya (JNKVV), Jabalpur. The farm is located between 23º13’13.45” – 23º14’ 37.21” N latitude and 80º 04’ 2.77” – 80º 04’ 59.64” E longitude at an elevation of about 407 meters above mean sea level. With a total land area of 220 hectares, the BISA-Manegaon farm has the capacity to host world-class laboratories and facilities. The Periyat River flows on one side of the farm. The farm also contains a natural water tank spreading over almost 30 hectares. Another water tank has been created inside the farm to store spill-over water from the main water body and for smooth supplies during dry or hot conditions. BISA-Manegaon center is situated in the semi-humid, Mahakaushal region of Madhya Pradesh, located in central India.
